Highgate Hill

The owner of an older unit in a large unit complex at Highgate Hill wanted to add a covered patio on their existing rooftop deck. We prepared and managed the application through Council. Key issues included building height, privacy and bulk and scale considerations. 

When dealing with unit buildings, modifications (or change applications) can be challenging and especially for older buildings. Research of the original approval showed that the application had undergone public notification. This meant the change application could avoid public notification for exceeding height under the current planning scheme. A bonus for the client. 

Approval was achieved and we are certain this patio will be a fine addition to this unique inner city unit.
